Step 1:

Firstly, if you want to become a paramedic you must first find an accredited paramedic training program being offered by most community colleges and technical schools.

Step 2:

Then you would want to meet the training requirements before you can get accepted into the training program. Each school have slight differences in what they require but they are generally the same

Step 3:

Complete the training program. It will take you around 2 years to earn a paramedic degree. You will go through 4 semesters in which one is spent at an internship.

Step 4:

After the completion of the training program, you will be required to pass the NREMT exam, which will certify you as a paramedic. If you do not pass the NREMT exam, then you won’t be able to practice as a paramedic.

Step 5:

You will then be provided with the proper documents to fill out the EMT application form. Submit the form to the proper EMS office.
